Annaliese K. Beery · Biology
Dr. Annaliese K. Beery’s research focuses on understanding how social relationships, particularly peer friendships, are formed and maintained. Using prairie voles as a model organism, her lab investigates the role of the neuropeptide oxytocin in influencing social behaviors like acceptance of familiar partners and avoidance of strangers. By exploring these mechanisms, the lab aims to shed light on the neural basis of social connections and their implications for human relationships.
