Dr. Soonhee Roh's research lab focuses on improving cervical cancer screening rates among Indigenous women in the U.S., particularly within the Yankton Sioux Tribe. They are developing a mobile web app, called wPap, that uses culturally-tailored multimedia messages to educate and encourage women to get screened. This project aims to identify barriers to screening, effectively promote early detection, and ultimately reduce health disparities in this underserved population.
