Research Focus
Dr. Kaileigh Byrne's lab focuses on improving recovery outcomes for patients with alcohol use disorder (AUD), particularly those hospitalized due to complications from their drinking. The lab investigates a peer recovery coaching program that begins during hospitalization and continues afterwards, providing patients with social support and resources to maintain their recovery. By evaluating the effectiveness and cost of this program, the lab aims to transform the way AUD is treated in hospital settings.
