Dr. Prasun K Datta's lab focuses on understanding the connections between age, HIV, and neurocognitive disorders in people living with HIV. They study how lactate, a byproduct of metabolism, may influence brain health and cognitive function in these individuals, particularly as they age. Research Aims
3AIM 01Investigate lactate levels in plasma and cerebrospinal fluid of nonhuman primate models to assess their impact on neurocognitive function.
