Research Focus
Dr. Megumi Okumura's lab focuses on improving the lives of young adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by developing and assessing the effectiveness of a program called Resilience in Action (RiA). This program aims to enhance resilience, social skills, and overall well-being in young adults transitioning out of school systems. By conducting studies across multiple locations, the lab seeks to understand how resilience impacts mental health and social outcomes for these individuals.

Research Aims
3AIM 01Assess the effectiveness of the Resilience in Action curriculum on resilience targets in young adults with autism.
