Research Focus
Dr. Jose Manuel Alonso's lab studies how our eyes process visual information, focusing specifically on two pathways that detect light and dark signals. Their research aims to understand how these pathways function in different lighting conditions, particularly in relation to myopia, a condition that causes blurred distance vision. By investigating neuronal responses with innovative techniques, the lab hopes to develop new strategies for preventing and treating myopia.
