Research Focus
Dr. Angelina R Sutin's research lab focuses on how having a strong sense of purpose in life can help improve cognitive health and reduce the risk of Alzheimer's disease as people age. The lab conducts studies to explore the mechanisms through which purpose influences mental functioning, particularly in older adults and those showing early signs of cognitive decline. Ultimately, the goal is to develop interventions that can enhance a sense of purpose and thereby support healthier cognitive aging.
