Research Focus
Dr. Yong Lu's lab focuses on understanding how certain proteins in the brain influence the development of auditory pathways critical for sound localization. By studying the role of the metabotropic glutamate receptor 5 (mGluR5), the lab aims to uncover how disruptions in this protein can affect hearing and brain development.
