Dr. Ananth V Annapragada's lab focuses on understanding how SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, may contribute to the development and acceleration of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. By investigating the influence of genetic risk factors and other viral infections, the lab aims to uncover the mechanisms behind neuroinflammation and cognitive dysfunction observed after COVID-19 infections.
