Research Focus
Dr. Douglas J Goetz's lab researches new therapeutic agents that target an enzyme called glycogen synthase kinase-3 (GSK-3). This enzyme is important in many diseases, including Alzheimer's, cancer, and diabetes. The lab aims to develop specific inhibitors of GSK-3, which could lead to new treatments for these diseases.
