Research Focus
Dr. Amanda Mejia's lab focuses on developing innovative statistical methods using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to create biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease. By exploring the brain's functional connectivity and employing advanced Bayesian modeling techniques, the lab aims to enhance the identification and tracking of patients at risk for cognitive decline. This research has the potential to improve non-invasive screening methods for Alzheimer's and may eventually lead to better clinical tools for diagnosis and treatment.
