Dr. Brandon Biesiadecki's research focuses on improving heart function in diseases where the heart cannot pump enough blood to meet the body's needs. He studies a specific modification of heart muscle proteins that enhances contraction without increasing calcium levels, which could lead to fewer side effects than current treatments.
